Abney Park

Once again, I have taken my time updating. I dunno why it seems like such a difficult thing to do, aha
I went to see Abney Park with my friend. When she invited me, I didn't know much of anything of the group nor is was it the kind of music I had found myself listening to before but after looking up their songs I thought they were cool and when the day came, it was a great experience and I had fun! It was my first gig ever too.

Before I go into the 23rd (Abney Park) here are a few random pictures from before

I was trying on cute glasses at some point in Boots. I love the way some glasses look and sometimes find my self almost wishing my eyesight was a bit poor so I had an excuse to wear them. Ridiiculous.
These glasses were neeat.
Birthday card from grandparents. :D <3
Aoi being cute.
I also ordered these again in pink but the zipper was damaged! The seller sent me another pair though so it's all cool. Hopefully they will arrive soon.

Stocked up on some lashes.

These are pretty! From Necrosarium. I also ordered something else but I can't show it on here as it was a present.

These tights are, or rather, were SO cool. Sadly the print wore off in just a few wears. Most of the print is gone by now.
Before my tights wore out like mad, I went and bought these anyway. It's gonna suck when the same thing happens to them. My legs were too fat for these tights too. They aren't snug.

Anyway, onto the 23rd. I woke up early to get read to travel to Flitwick to meet my friend, Charmaine, who I was going with. This is what I looked like:

Yeah, the corset is on a bit wonky. I ended up taking it off at my friend's because I could foresee the discomfort and boy am I glad I did. I was also unsure of whether I actually liked it on the JSK.

I ended up missing the first train but the next one came soon enough so it was alright.
I don't have a whole picture of Charmaine but she had a steampunk-themed outfit which was awesome especially as some of it was handmade.

We had a couple of hours to waste before the gig started so we wasted some time in London, what we did first was go to Yo!Sushi. Oh gosssh. There was a special offer going with all the plates on the conveyor belt were £2.40. Everything was SO delicious. That Yo!Sushi is better than the one in Milton Keynes in my opinion.

This was probably my favourite and I can't even remember what it's called! Waa, my mouth is watering.
Some yummy gyoza

This was just beautiful and I don't even know what it's called. I am not sure what the green things on the rice are. Inside it is prawn tempura. GGhhh, so delicious.
Ahh, chicken katsu. <3

I also had some dorayaki with raspberry sauce. It was beautiful.

We also went to Cybercandy where I found they had some Finnish sweets. This is not all I bought. I bought a bunch of sour sweets for my siblings and a bit of salty liqourice for my mum.

We saw this on the way to Cybercandy. I am mature.
A poor picture I took of us at the venue, waiting for the opening act to come on stage.

Professor Elemental.

First was Professor Elemental. He was funny and I really like how he got the audience involved. Great fun.

They were picked from the audience the perform a few tasks to determine which one of them was most suitable to be the Professor's butler.

The winner got the monkey mask while the rest wore a mask with the Queen's face on it.

Then they danced while the Professor performed.

I can't remember what these guys were called but they were alright.

The lady on the left was cool. She played the harp, the clarinet and the spoons. She made cool beats with spoons, haha.

Then the stupidest thing happened, my phone ran out of juice. RIGHT before Abney Park came on. SO stupid. Luckily my friend took pictures, so the following are by her.

He was so cool.

His hat and violin were AMAZING.
All in all they were all SO cool and I was surprised to know quite a few of the songs they played. I really loved the performance. They sounded and looked great. Their instruments were pretty damn awesome looking too.

After the show me and Charmaine bought their poster and got all of their signatures. They were so nice! We even got a picture with Captain Robert.

Charmaine is cute and look at her top. It's badass.
Afterwards, Charmaine collected a bolero type jacket she purchased from a seller prior (it was awesome btw) and we travelled to hers and slept. I slept like a baby, I was so tired.
The next morning it was my birthday and she got me these:

All my smiles, brahs

She also got me the tickets for the show!
I think, this event meant a little more than it may appear to everyone else. The reasons we both should have gone and did, were similiar and it was a little more than just going to a steampunk gig, to me anyway. I am happy we went and I am greatful to her for everything. It was also nice to do something with someone with similiar amounts of interest in expression of self through fashion. We both really looked forward to dressing up. :D I think she gets the effort I may put into my appearance, instead of questioning it as well as having a similiar kind of attitude. Even if we may wish to wear different kind of things. (although a lot of tastes, I've found, we match in)This would sound so silly to some people but I really don't know people like that, that I get to hang with frequently.
I do wish I knew more people like that, that I could dress up all cute with. First world problemos ;_;

I was going to move onto more of my actual birthday but this is running too long so I will make another update on that. H-hopefully soon... heh.
Bye
