How long has it been since my last post? A year? I dunno.
So much for regular updating. I had a great weekend that made me think a lot. I've been thinking a lot about some pretty significant things in general and these thoughts just kind of linked. Anyway, enough vagueness. I shall go onto talk about Saturday!
This weekend Hyper Japan was taking place again and myself and my sister went as we had promised we would.
Moe.
Some mad hand posing. I never do my nails, ever, so this was a bit spesh. God, my hands were dry though.
I am supposed to be dwiddling my moustache.
Julia and I recognized these girls from youtube. They do dance covers and such things. They were cosplaying those adorable alpaccas from the new Animal Crossing game. |
Next I ended up checking out the fashion show. Well, I mean, I could barely see from where I was standing and it was futile to try and take a decent picture of the outfits, which was a shame because some of them were really nice, like the one below.
This shironuri look was pretty up there with my favourites.
You really can't see anything from these pictures at all...
Then Yun*chi performed right afterwards.
I wasn't feeling most of the songs, except for the one below, which I thought was a bit cute. Warning, the screen flickers in the most annoying way possible.
All the models posed for pics with Yun*chi after her performance.
Haha, that kid next to Julia was being cute and Julia naturally d'awwed.

Anyway, this was my first time hearing this band's music and I was pleased to hear that the Vocalist's, Leoneil's, voice was pretty nice. The guitarist, Yuto, wasn't actually playing the guitar though, which was pretty obvious at times, but he was putting on a great show regardless and was very charming. I guess it's understandable due to the conditions really.
His hair was perfect. Like, I was just 'mirin hard.
We moved to the front (and I TRIED to fit in at the edge of the seat with Julia because there was no space) and because we were at the front we ended up having eye contact with them a couple of times. I had pasta seeping out all over the place and had to look away each time after like a second, holy shit. Such a loser.
Oh gosh, afterwards, they were interviewed and the translator seemed so nervous. She didn't seem to understand what they were saying at times. After the interview and performance I met Finlay, who was also watching and she confirmed that the translator would often leave out important bits and slightly change things or not translate things the right way.
She was cosplaying Kyary. Super cute!
We also went to get our pictures taken with Vaniru. I pulled this stupid ass face because Yuto put his hand on my waist and for some reason that made me want to laugh.
Was pretty happy to see this SnK cosplay.
Thank you, Julia...
She was very sweet. She asked me if I liked maids and such and told me she used to work at a maid cafe in Japan and that I should go. Gurrrlllll, It's my dream... ;__;
This is one of those pictures where I look like I really need to poo. I met her at my first Hyper Japan ever where she recognized me and vice versa from tumblr (Hers is candy-injection.tumblr.com) and she noticed me right before Shiro-A were meant to come on. She's super pretty! I was probably awkward again. I swear I need to go and apologize to absolutely everyone I spoke to on that Saturday. I can't into human interaction.
Shiro-A were something else! It was so entertaining. I don't have pictures because it was pointless to even try. It was a show where they used lights on the screen, which they interacted with, to create cool illusions, which required impeccable timing.
We also got macarons but didn't really take pictures of all of them because we just wanted to eat them, haha. This one was 'Cassis', I'm not entirely sure what flavours were going on here but it looked super pretty with glitter and stuff on it.
At some point in the end we were singing karaoke with others on some upcoming karaoke game for the Wii U. It was so much fun. We also played Taiko no Tatsujin with some random guy, which was so fun. So much fun shit happened. It was a blast. I've probably forgotten something here.
Boo, home time. |
I fiiinally got these tights. It was kind of on a whim actually. I went to the stand and was eyeing up stuff. The owner of the store had left for a moment and her friend was there in the meanwhile. We were chatting about her business for a bit. He needed to phone her up for the price of the tights as he didn't know but couldn't get a hold of her so eventually I went, but was soon sought out by the store owner with the price, which was pretty good and I got them. I ended up saving money getting them from them than if I had ordered them directly from Lockshop. Anyway, her store is called Rococo Daze. They do various lolita brands and you're able to get pre-owned items or reserve certain dresses through them.

Closest to blonde I've gotten with wigs, although I do have one coming in the mail. This is from Tofucute.
Hina being cute just 'cause.
Another item I've been meaning to get but somehow just haven't until now. Last time I went to order them, they were sold out and I just gave up instead of buying them elsewhere. Haha, ohh... My favourite bottom lashes.
Flattering pics from the photobooth. For some reason it didn't take our first pose and just put two of the same? I've tanned so much, it's making me look more a reddish brown??
ok, this is from earlier. Too cute, jesus.
I have just remembered why I had such a problem updating frequently. Without even realising it's 1am. This takes me way long, haha.
I was thinking about using this blog as a picture dump place. Focus less on context and just pics? I dunno. I probably will just do whatever I happen to feel like at the time.
I'm so hot right now that I can't even think properly.
