Wow, hello again.

How long has it been since my last post? A year? I dunno.

So much for regular updating. I had a great weekend that made me think a lot. I've been thinking a lot about some pretty significant things in general and these thoughts just kind of linked. Anyway, enough vagueness. I shall go onto talk about Saturday!

This weekend Hyper Japan was taking place again and myself and my sister went as we had promised we would.

I went as a maid, Julia went with a cat theme. She had ordered these cute cat tights but despite ordering them early enough, they still hadn't arrived in time so she had to do with, unfortunately. Still cute.

                                                                           Moe.

Some mad hand posing. I never do my nails, ever, so this was a bit spesh. God, my hands were dry though.

I am supposed to be dwiddling my moustache.

Julia and I recognized these girls from youtube. They do dance covers and such things. They were cosplaying those adorable alpaccas from the new Animal Crossing game.

Julia getting Takoyaki. At this point I'm not really sure why we always get them because they're deep fried and we don't really prefer them deep fried. We could have tried something new but noo...

I was kind of curious to see what kind of looks, or rather, how they'd be executing looks on people. I never really stuck around to properly look though because other things distracted me.

Next I ended up checking out the fashion show. Well, I mean, I could barely see from where I was standing and it was futile to try and take a decent picture of the outfits, which was a shame because some of them were really nice, like the one below.

This shironuri look was pretty up there with my favourites.

You really can't see anything from these pictures at all...

                                                     Then Yun*chi performed right afterwards.

I wasn't feeling most of the songs, except for the one below, which I thought was a bit cute. Warning, the screen flickers in the most annoying way possible.

All the models posed for pics with Yun*chi after her performance.

Haha, that kid next to Julia was being cute and Julia naturally d'awwed.
Mochi
Then we watched Vaniru perform on a much smaller stage in the corner. Haha, there's a girl seated with a spikey head band that handed me this paper that people were handing to each other that said (whoever it was handed to) that they thought you were cute and to pass it on, with the URL of the person's tumblr that started it off. I thought it was a really cute thing to do and was obviously happy to receive it. (thank you, stranger.)
Anyway, this was my first time hearing this band's music and I was pleased to hear that the Vocalist's, Leoneil's, voice was pretty nice. The guitarist, Yuto, wasn't actually playing the guitar though, which was pretty obvious at times, but he was putting on a great show regardless and was very charming. I guess it's understandable due to the conditions really.

His hair was perfect. Like, I was just 'mirin hard.

We moved to the front (and I TRIED to fit in at the edge of the seat with Julia because there was no space) and because we were at the front we ended up having eye contact with them a couple of times. I had pasta seeping out all over the place and had to look away each time after like a second, holy shit. Such a loser.

Oh gosh, afterwards, they were interviewed and the translator seemed so nervous. She didn't seem to understand what they were saying at times. After the interview and performance I met Finlay, who was also watching and she confirmed that the translator would often leave out important bits and slightly change things or not translate things the right way.

She was cosplaying Kyary. Super cute!

We also went to get our pictures taken with Vaniru. I pulled this stupid ass face because Yuto put his hand on my waist and for some reason that made me want to laugh.
Was pretty happy to see this SnK cosplay.
                                                               Thank you, Julia...
 She was very sweet. She asked me if I liked maids and such and told me she used to work at a maid cafe in Japan and that I should go. Gurrrlllll, It's my dream... ;__;
This is one of those pictures where I look like I really need to poo. I met her at my first Hyper Japan ever where she recognized me and vice versa from tumblr (Hers is candy-injection.tumblr.com) and she noticed me right before Shiro-A were meant to come on. She's super pretty! I was probably awkward again. I swear I need to go and apologize to absolutely everyone I spoke to on that Saturday. I can't into human interaction.

Shiro-A were something else! It was so entertaining. I don't have pictures because it was pointless to even try. It was a show where they used lights on the screen, which they interacted with, to create cool illusions, which required impeccable timing.

We also got macarons but didn't really take pictures of all of them because we just wanted to eat them, haha. This one was 'Cassis', I'm not entirely sure what flavours were going on here but it looked super pretty with glitter and stuff on it.

At some point in the end we were singing karaoke with others on some upcoming karaoke game for the Wii U. It was so much fun. We also played Taiko no Tatsujin with some random guy, which was so fun. So much fun shit happened. It was a blast. I've probably forgotten something here.

Boo, home time.
                                                                 Onto non-edible GETS
I fiiinally got these tights. It was kind of on a whim actually. I went to the stand and was eyeing up stuff. The owner of the store had left for a moment and her friend was there in the meanwhile. We were chatting about her business for a bit. He needed to phone her up for the price of the tights as he didn't know but couldn't get a hold of her so eventually I went, but was soon sought out by the store owner with the price, which was pretty good and I got them. I ended up saving money getting them from them than if I had ordered them directly from Lockshop. Anyway, her store is called Rococo Daze. They do various lolita brands and you're able to get pre-owned items or reserve certain dresses through them.
www.rococodaze.com

Closest to blonde I've gotten with wigs, although I do have one coming in the mail. This is from Tofucute.
                                                                       Hina being cute just 'cause.

Another item I've been meaning to get but somehow just haven't until now. Last time I went to order them, they were sold out and I just gave up instead of buying them elsewhere. Haha, ohh... My favourite bottom lashes.
Flattering pics from the photobooth. For some reason it didn't take our first pose and just put two of the same? I've tanned so much, it's making me look more a reddish brown??
ok, this is from earlier. Too cute, jesus.

I have just remembered why I had such a problem updating frequently. Without even realising it's 1am. This takes me way long, haha.

I was thinking about using this blog as a picture dump place. Focus less on context and just pics? I dunno. I probably will just do whatever I happen to feel like at the time.
I'm so hot right now that I can't even think properly.

MCM Expo October 2012

Aheh... so much for that birhday update. I really don't feel like doing it. Maybe I will eventually.

Anyways, onto Expo. Me, my friend Ben and his gf Hannah all went as maids. Kitty maids.

This is me at 5AM on the day. Hahaa

I think one of my eyes is closed. Haha
We all love the skull guy to the right of Hannah.

The staff at tofucute were adorbs.

Kimonotime :D

Intimidating.

Met up with friends and new people too!

Ugh, one day I will grab me an Arpakasso. ;_; <3
I always managed to look displeased. I was concentrating on trying not to gobble down the food.
It was so freaking sickly sweet but lovely.

Onto other stuff I bought

I think I bought like 9 dorayaki throughout the day...

This is everything save some sweets and dorayaki.

The artist behind Scandinavia and The World was there and she signed my postcard.

I love a combo of chocolate and pale pink.

This was from JPU records I think? I'm sure it's connected to Japan Underground. I am not fully sure. The girl that sold me it was gorgeous holy shit.

This was stupid expensice but aaaa so cute. From Tofucute

Everything except edibles from Tofucute also.

Cute packaging.

It tasted alright. It's pretty much airy chocolate in a in an ice-cream wafer cone type thing. When I say airy, I mean it was sorta similiar to Flake. Or Aero. Like a micture of the two.

Onto birthday/Christmas presents I got from my friends!

Counterfeit Gloomy glove that's really nice to sleep with actually. Little My, Moomin Troll. Absolutely adorable Rilakkuma keyholders and Sentimental Circus and Rilakkuma stickers. Raffaello chocolates were amazing. Spoilt rotten.

I freaking love this top <3 <3

I didn't realise these were hair ties until my friend told me. :D They are so cute.

And that's that for the expo.

A bit of fantastic news is that I got an interview at Claire's yesterday and got the job. I can't believe it. I am so happy.

I got to town about an hour early and just sat at Costa having a beef burrito and a gingerbread latte, prepping myself.

Very delicious by the way. Costa is quickly becoming one of my favourite places. Mainly because a second Costa has recently opened in town and it's so cozy in there.

But yeah. AERhd I have a job at Claire's Accessories. ; v ;

I pretty much wore all black for it including the shirt my friend, Jen got me.

And here are some pictures from the past 2 months.

I got these tongue tattoo things at some point. They're random cute designs on edible paper and you just stick them on your tongue. This one is meant to be a bear but it looks more like a three-eyed alien bear.

Yoru always manages to look mega stoned.
